چکیده
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a spectrum that spans simple steatosis, fibrosis, and ultimately cirrhosis, leading cause of chronic globally. The severe variant NAFLD, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), characterized by triglyceride accumulation within hepatocytes the subsequent inflammatory pathway activation, progressing to cirrhosis in 10%-20% patients. NASH known major risk factor for development hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), there emerging data demonstrating impact on immune subsets tumor microenvironment may influence therapeutic response. This review describes various ways which system altered patients with NASH. innate shows alterations dendritic Kupffer cells, impaired cytotoxicity Natural Killer an neutrophils. Additionally, evidence emphasizing role adaptive progression NASH, seen alteration B-cells, T-cells, NKT Cells. Due complex interplay NAFLD/NASH its HCC, many current treatments focus targeting cells HCC therapy. Recently, checkpoint inhibitors such as atezolizumab bevacizumab have been approved first-line therapy unresectable HCC. Although field research, further studies clinical trials are needed understand interface
